Maxwell DISC Experience

Insight-Consulting Services

For leaders who sense something is getting in their way but can't quite name it.

You've Sensed These Patterns for Years. Now You Can Finally See Them Clearly.

"You cannot lead others well until you know yourself." — John C. Maxwell

Sometimes what stands between where you are and where you want to be isn't more information. It's seeing yourself more clearly. That's what this experience is for. Through the Maxwell DISC, a personal Snapshot I write just for you, and a one-on-one conversation with me, you'll finally have language for how you think, lead, and respond, so clarity, confidence, and action begin to move together.

Something Keeps Getting in the Way, and You Can't Quite Name It

You've been leading for years. You're good at it. And still, there are moments that don't go the way you intended, and you can't always say why.

Maybe you know how you come across on a good day, but not in a hard conversation. Maybe you've taken an assessment before and walked away with a label that didn't tell you much. The patterns are there, in how you communicate, how you respond under pressure, the relationships that feel harder than they should, but you've never had the words for what you're actually experiencing.

Often the strategy is sound, the options are clear, yet something keeps you second-guessing a decision you already understand. This isn't a lack of capability or commitment. It's the gap between knowing and doing, and it usually traces back to not seeing yourself clearly enough to move with confidence.

I've watched capable people just like you sit with that feeling for years. The effort isn't the problem. You've put in the effort. What's missing is self-knowledge that's specific enough, honest enough, and clear enough to actually use.

Why People Remember This Long After the Report Is Closed

When I tell people this includes a behavioral assessment, some of them brace themselves. They've done this before. They got a type, a PDF, and not much else.

This is a different kind of experience, and the difference is what happens around the assessment, not the assessment alone. Yes, the Maxwell DISC is built on solid ground. Dr. William Moulton Marston's research gives it its foundation, and John Maxwell's life's work, more than 100 books and leaders trained in every nation on earth, gives it its depth. Maxwell built everything he does around one conviction, that you cannot lead others well until you know yourself.

But what people remember isn't the science. It's the moment they finally saw themselves clearly.

That moment usually happens in two places. The first is your personal Snapshot, a short summary I write specifically for you, in plain language, that you can pick up on a Tuesday morning before a hard conversation. The full report runs about thirty pages and rewards careful reading, and most leaders also want something they can actually reach for. The Snapshot is that.

The second is the debrief, where the two of us sit down together and connect what the assessment revealed to your leadership, your relationships, and the real decisions you face. I've watched people gain more clarity in that single conversation than they did in years of sensing the pattern without language for it. My role isn't to hand you a report and send you on your way. It's to help you understand what it means for your life, your leadership, and the people you care about.

When you can see how you're wired, you stop guessing and reacting. Decisions you used to overthink start to feel clear and grounded, and you move forward with the kind of confidence that comes from finally understanding yourself.

Everything You'll Walk Through With Me

01The Maxwell DISC Assessment. You complete it online at your own pace, in about 15 to 20 minutes. Your results look at three dimensions of your behavioral style, how you show up publicly, privately, and under pressure, drawn from Marston's research and the Maxwell leadership framework.

02Your Comprehensive Report. A research-backed look at your behavioral style, your communication patterns, your leadership tendencies, what drives you, and what's been getting in your way. Built to be read carefully and returned to as you grow.

03Your Personal Snapshot. Your grab-and-go guide. I pull out what matters most, put it in plain language, and give you something you can reach for quickly, before a tough conversation, stepping into a leadership moment, or simply trying to understand why you reacted the way you did.

04Your One-on-One Debrief With Me. A focused conversation where we connect your results to the specific situations in front of you. You leave with direction, not a summary.

"The biggest thing I learned about myself was that I'm stronger than I thought I was. The assessment, Snapshot, and debrief helped me recognize that I have the ability to lead instead of always looking to others to take the lead. Since then, I've shown up with more confidence, more authority, and a greater understanding of who I am. Even now, I still find myself returning to the insights from that experience."

— Lakecia M., Influencer

"The debrief was especially valuable. Having someone experienced walk me through the results helped me gain far more insight than I would have by simply reading the report on my own. That awareness has improved the way I communicate. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to become a more effective leader and communicator."

— Shelia G., Ministry Professional & Healthcare Director

"What impacted me most was the personal debrief. Instead of focusing only on what I needed to improve, I was encouraged to recognize and build on my strengths. The conversation gave me greater confidence in my abilities and helped me trust myself more. I left with a deeper understanding of myself, stronger communication skills, and renewed confidence in both my personal and professional growth."

— Tywans R., Educator

"What made the experience especially meaningful was having someone walk alongside me through the process. The conversation helped me recognize strengths that had been there all along but that I had not fully appreciated. If you are looking for greater self-awareness, clarity, and confidence in who you are and how you lead, I highly recommend this experience."

I'm Dr. Betty Cabrera.

Most of the people I work with are already capable and accomplished. They lead teams, run organizations, and carry real responsibility. What brings them to me is the sense that they keep meeting the same patterns in themselves and can't quite name what's happening, in a hard conversation, under pressure, in a relationship that feels harder than it should.

If that sounds like you, you and I would spend our time differently than you might expect. We sit down together and talk through what your results actually mean for your leadership, your relationships, and the decisions in front of you right now. People often tell me the patterns they'd sensed for years finally make sense in a single conversation, and that they leave with the confidence to act on what they see.

I've spent more than two decades at the intersection of leadership, behavior, and human potential, in healthcare systems, nonprofits, education, and one-on-one with leaders who knew they were capable of more. I hold a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Development, and I'm a Maxwell Certified Behavioral Analysis Trainer and a certified coach, trainer, and speaker through the John Maxwell Leadership Organization. Along the way, I've secured multi-million-dollar grants, directed citywide programs, and led partnerships across some of Dallas's most complex healthcare and social service networks. I share that so you know the person across the table has walked alongside many people who have felt exactly where you are.

What I've learned through all of it is that the people who grow fastest aren't the ones who work hardest. They're the ones who finally understand how they're wired.

The Maxwell DISC is the tool I trust most for getting there, and that trust isn't only about the credibility of John Maxwell's work. I've sat on your side of it. I took the assessment myself and had someone walk me through my results, and it helped me understand strengths, tendencies, and blind spots I had noticed in myself but never fully understood. That experience showed me something I now see with client after client. The assessment gives you information. The conversation is where it becomes insight.

That's why I'll be beside you for every step of it. If you're ready to stop guessing and start knowing, I'd be glad to be that someone for you.

What You're Probably Wondering

I've already taken a DISC assessment. How is this different?

Most DISC assessments give you a behavioral type and a report. This goes further in two ways. It looks at three dimensions of you, how you show up publicly, privately, and the way you perceive yourself, rather than a single snapshot. And it includes a personal Snapshot written specifically for you and a one-on-one debrief where we connect your results to your real life and leadership. The assessment is the starting point. The conversation is what makes it useful.

How long does the whole process take?

The assessment itself takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. From there, I prepare your report and Snapshot, and we schedule your debrief at a time that works for you. Most people move through the full experience within one to two weeks.

Is this available for teams or organizations?

Yes. I can administer the Maxwell DISC for one person or across an entire staff. If you'd like to bring this to your team, reach out through the booking link and we'll shape it around your group's goals.

Do I need to prepare anything before the debrief?

Nothing at all. You'll receive your report and Snapshot beforehand so you have time to read through them, but come as you are. Just bring your real questions.

What does it cost?

The full experience is $297, which includes the assessment, your comprehensive report, your personal Snapshot, and your one-on-one debrief with me. If you're considering this for a team, reach out through the booking link and we'll find the right fit for your group.

The Clarity You've Been Sensing Is Closer Than You Think

The Know Thyself Maxwell DISC Experience gives you that language, a research-backed look at how you think, communicate, and lead, and someone who walks you through every step of how to use it. It's where clarity, confidence, and action finally come together. Let's find that alignment together.
